What the standard asks

ISO 55001 is a management system standard. It requires an asset management policy, objectives and plans, and documented information about the assets, their condition and performance, and the activities carried out on them.

Certification audits look for evidence that the plans are executed: inspections done on time, defects managed, records kept and reviewed.

The standard does not prescribe checks or intervals. Those come from the regulations and standards for each asset class, which the rest of this hub covers.

How AssetWRX handles it

  1. 01

One register with the fields you need

Assets with type, location, relationships, documents and identifiers. CSV import for the existing register; the API for the rest.

  2. 02

    Condition from inspections, not opinion

Every inspection updates the asset's record, so condition and compliance status are derived from what was checked, when.

  3. 03

    Activities on the record

Requests, inspections, jobs and contractor work all sit on the asset, which is the evidence an auditor asks for.

  4. 04

    Insights for the review

Overdue checks, open defects and data quality per site feed the management review the standard requires.
