The registre de sécurité for an ERP, kept per installation
Periodic checks of fire safety installations in French établissements recevant du public, recorded per installation for the commission de sécurité.
What the standard asks
Article R143-44 of the Code de la construction et de l'habitation requires the operator of an ERP to keep a registre de sécurité recording the periodic checks and maintenance of the safety installations, the training of staff and the fire drills.
The règlement de sécurité sets the checks per installation: extinguishers, alarm and detection, emergency lighting, smoke extraction, fire doors, lifts and electrical installations, each on its own interval and often by an approved body (organisme agréé).
The commission de sécurité inspects the premises on a periodic basis and asks to see the register and the reports behind it.
How AssetWRX handles it
- 01
Each installation is an asset
Extinguishers, alarm zones, emergency lighting, smoke vents and fire doors each carry their own history, location and next due date.
- 02
The register as a living record
Each check is a scheduled inspection with a template, who did it, the result and the report attached. Together they are the register.
- 03
Approved bodies as contractors
Invite the organisme agréé or maintenance contractor to the installations they cover. Their rapport de vérification lands on the asset with its date.
- 04
Ready for the commission
One shareable report per building shows every installation, its last check and any open remark, with the evidence a click away.
Questions
- Is a digital registre de sécurité accepted?
- The regulation requires the register to be kept and presented; it does not require paper. Many operators keep it digitally with the reports attached. Confirm with your commission de sécurité if you have a specific concern.
- Which checks go in the register?
- Periodic checks and maintenance of the safety installations, staff training and fire drills, and the observations of the commission. The exact installations depend on the type and category of the ERP.
- Is the site available in French?
- A French version of the site and the app is in review. The app's user interface already supports French; the marketing pages ship in French once the translation has been checked.
